Pathway Communications Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Certification
New designation guarantees optimal security, privacy and availability for customers
Markham, Ont. – December 11, 2013– Pathway Communications today announced that the company has successfully completed the requirements for Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 compliance. In accordance with SOC 2 Type 2 (includes SOC 1 Type 2 (SSAE 16), and CSAE 3416 Type 2 standards), the effort presents a full suite of certifications that demonstrates Pathway’s ability to provide customers with a set of robust, secure and reliable systems for information storage, communication and access. The designation efforts further increase Pathways’ already robust security and privacy offerings to the company’s diverse and dedicated customer base.
“The addition of SOC 2 to our existing portfolio, which already includes ISO 9001-2008 and Tier III certifications, underscores Pathway Communications’ commitment to providing its customers, business partners and suppliers with the confidence that their sensitive data will be guarded with the utmost integrity,” says Ashok Kalle, CEO, Pathway Communications. “This certification makes Pathway Communications one of only a few companies in North America that are able to offer this advanced level of security.”
A market leader in cloud computing, data centre services, managed Internet and IT services, Pathway Communications has continually delivered optimal standards for its customers and partners. The SOC 2 certification provides many within Pathway’s client base – including those in the Financial, Health Services, Mining, IT and Logistics – the necessary security assurance levels required to successfully run their businesses. Many companies including those within these vertical areas require 24-hour operations and increased security compliance surrounding customer data. Due to the highly sensitive nature of the information stored, it is of paramount importance that the security measures adhere to the most rigid third-party standards. By completing the SOC 2 certification, Pathway Communications will continue to maintain its place as the leader in managed IT services, cloud computing and data centres. The audit report shows that Pathway meets or exceeds official audit levels for Trust Services Principles and Criteria. Pathway’s SOC 2 Type 2 report is available to clients for use in their compliance plans and policies.
“Our mandate is to offer our customers unparalleled security, privacy, availability and premier service and the SOC 2 certification allows us to continue to do so at the optimal levels that businesses of all sizes have come to expect,” says Kalle.
