Sales Executive
Job Description
Pathway Communications is a leader in technology management solutions and counts some of Canada’s best brands as its clients. We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Executive to join our fast-growing Sales Team.
We’ll help you build your career in Sales while you collaborate with a diverse team of talented individuals who successfully identify and contact prospects, build healthy pipelines, and manage the sales cycle from proposals to contracts.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced hunter who has a passion for sales, razor-sharp attention to detail, an analytical mind, and the ability to execute and optimize multiple campaigns for multiple clients.
What you will be doing
- Build your book of business through cold calling, face-to-face meetings, networking, and closing new deals.
- Increase net new customers and cross-sell into the current customer base.
- Execute sales plan, develop a healthy pipeline, and achieve sales goals and quotas.
- Manage key client relationships and build strong associations with partners.
- Maintain proper cadence and volume of prospecting and other sales activities to meet and exceed targets.
- Coordinate sales presentations, proposals, and RFP responses.
- Contribute to creating compelling proposals designed to meet client needs and requirements; participate in persuasive customer presentations to close sales.
- Work with marketing to improve product positioning and pre-empt objections through incisive sales collateral.
- Build and fortify effective partnerships with clients to maximize their uptake of various solutions offered by Pathway.
- Continually improve and upgrade technical, market, and product knowledge to be able to craft innovative solutions for potential clients.
Must-have qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in selling Technical Solutions.
- Proven success in hunting; has validated skills in cold calling and prospecting.
- Post-Secondary / University Degree with sales and technical training related to managed IT services.
- Strong technical understanding of IT products and services.
- Experienced in preparing, writing, and making sales presentations and proposals in concert with Sales Engineers and Technical Writers.
- Candidates who can speak fluently in English & French language are preferred.

- Ability to work well under pressure while demonstrating strong professionalism.

Systems Engineer
Pathway Group of Companies is a leading Canadian IT company offering full-spectrum, technology services to businesses across Canada and the United States. Our portfolio includes managed business connectivity, server colocation, cloud computing, telephony and outsourced IT and application management services.
If this is you; you’ll also have a strong with expertise in designing, deploying, and optimizing M365 solutions, including MS Defender, Intune, and Entra ID, with additional responsibilities in handling Tier 2 and Tier 3 Windows support.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and assist them in implementing the solution.
- Design, implement, and operate Microsoft Defender and Intune solutions to support endpoint protection, device management, and compliance across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Administer Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and other related workloads.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, optimize resource utilization, and perform necessary upgrades and patches.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams to plan, deploy, and maintain Windows-based applications, services, and updates.
- Evaluate and select appropriate hardware, software, and networking technologies to meet organizational needs.
- Ensure the tracking and renewal of all applicable software and system licenses.
- Configure systems for compliance with SLAs, using load-balancing, fault-tolerance, and scalable architecture where required.
- Manage configuration and provisioning of Microsoft Windows operating systems both on-premises and in the cloud (Azure, AWS, Google).
- Manage and administer hybrid Exchange server infrastructure.
- Ensure system and data integrity through regular audits, monitoring, and security measures.
- Implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices related to infrastructure systems engineering.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains in infrastructure management.
- Provide timely and responsive technical expertise both within and to clients, which may include rotational on-call support and off-hours system maintenance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven 5 to 8 years of experience as a system administrator, specifically with Microsoft technologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Proficiency in managing Exchange 2010/2016 Server and Exchange Online environments, including mail flow, mailbox management, and security.
- Proficiency in network administration, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with M365 administration, including SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience with endpoint protection and device management using Microsoft Defender and Intune.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS) and backup/recovery solutions.
- Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
